California Health & Safety Code, section 1569.269 requires Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFEs) to post a notice of 30 personal rights covering personal privacy rights, environmental rights, accommodations and services, disclosures, participation and representation. 

Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations, section 87468 requires operators of Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly to post a notice of 18 residents’ personal rights described in the regulation covering residential living standards, personal protections, accommodations and access to information.
