On April 12, 2016 the Alachua County Board of County Commission approved Ordinance #16-15 creating Article III of the Purchasing Code. The Ordinance established an Alachua County Government Minimum Wage (GMW) requirement for certain contractors and subcontractors providing selected services to Alachua County Government. A contractor or subcontractor providing a covered service to the County shall pay to all of its covered employees the established GMW.
