The Healthy Workplaces Act (HWA) requires private employers in New Mexico, regardless of size, to provide paid sick leave to employees beginning July 1, 2022. This legislation also authorizes the Labor Relations Division (LRD) of NMDWS to disseminate regulations for implementation and enforcement of the Act.
