2025 Alberta Minimum Wage Rates

Domestic (live-out) – $15.00/hr - Overtime Pay – 1.5× regular rate after 8 hrs/day or 44 hrs/week

- Hazard Assessment, Elimination & Control – Requirements for documented workplace hazard assessments and hierarchy of controls (Sec 07–10)
- Workplace Violence & Harassment – Prevention plan, training, incident investigation per OHS Code Part 27
- First Aid in the Workplace – Designation of first aiders, supplies, equipment, and room per OHS Code Part 11
- Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) & Health & Safety Representative (HSR) – Establishment thresholds, member selection, co-chair structure
- No Smoking / No Vaping Notice
- WCB Injury Reporting & Workers’ Compensation – “Hurt at work?” steps: tell employer, tell WCB (myWCB app), tell doctor; employer’s reporting duties
